TALENT (THAT’S YOU)
The prospective team member will be responsible for executing against the company’s marketing framework, strategies, and campaigns.
The prospective team member will: (1) possess a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business; (2) have at minimum 1-2 years of experience in a marketing role; (3) have foundational knowledge of brand and product marketing; (4) experience with event marketing; and (5) be an avid social media user with particular familiarity of LinkedIn.

THE DATA INITIATIVE is an early stage startup venture currently offering a first generation commercial version Data/Software-as-a-Service (D/SaaS) to the financial crimes risk and compliance space (spanning finance, government, academia, and consulting). We are headquartered in downtown Phoenix, Arizona with talented team members in California, Utah, Ohio, Florida, New York, and the UAE.
THE MISSION (THE GIG)
This is a unique marketing career path opportunity as we consider it a hybrid role between a marketing specialist and manager. As a fast moving and growing startup, you will have an opportunity to accelerate your career at a similar pace. This role will interact directly with the CEO, VP, Product and report directly to the VP, BizDev.
The primary objective of the Marketing Lead is to execute on product and brand marketing initiatives via digital (website/social), event, and print. The Marketing Lead will support brand, product, and sales through positioning techniques and edgy/imaginative content and event planning. Organizing social calendar content, event logistics, press/media releases, and website projects is the focus. In addition you will get exposure to product development, sales operations, finance/budgeting, and other aspects of the business.
COMPENSATION (HOW YOU GET PAID)
Base salary + benefits (medical, dental, and vision). Considerable work arrangements around hours and vacation time (flexible work balance). Full time is preferred and equity grants are available. We are also open to freelance/part-time if the right candidate.
